2024 was an extremely successful year for two young female artists Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan. With many hits under their belts, the two Gen Z girls were present in all four of the most important categories at the Grammys awards ceremony including Best New Artist , Song Of The Year , Record Of The Year , and most importantly Album Of The Year .

Taylor Swift continues to break records

At the 2025 Grammys , Taylor Swift and her album The Tortured Poets Department brought home 6 nominations, including important nominations, notably Album Of The Year . This made Taylor Swift the most nominated female artist in the Album Of The Year category with 7 nominations and 4 wins. However, her concert film The Eras Tour was not included in the Best Music Film category, which many people regretted.

With the album COWBOY CARTER , Beyoncé continued to bring home 11 nominations at the Grammys season including many large and small categories. With this achievement, Beyoncé has become the artist with the most nominations in the history of this award ceremony with 99 nominations. In addition, fans hope that the female singer can win the Album Of The Year category as she has never won in this category.

Others think that COWBOY CARTER will have a hard time making it at the 2025 Grammys .

Ariana Grande misses out on major nominations

2024 marks the return of Ariana Grande with the album eternal sunshine after many years of absence from music. Eternal sunshine has achieved professional and commercial success and is considered a spectacular comeback of the singer of 7 Rings . However, Ariana Grande was not present at the important nominations at the 2025 Grammys , especially Album Of The Year . The female singer brought home 3 nominations for this year’s Grammys season including Best Pop Duo/Group Performance , Best Dance Pop Recording and Best Pop Vocal Album.

Charli XCX and the Leap

2024 is considered by many in the music community to be the year of “brat” when Charli XCX’s album BRAT was a huge success. The singer has earned herself 7 Grammy nominations this season, surpassing many big names. The Von Dutch singer even appeared in two major categories including Album Of The Year and Record Of The Year.

BRAT is expected to make history at this year’s awards ceremony.

Dua Lipa, Katy Perry empty-handed

Returning with the album Radical Optimism , Dua Lipa was unable to repeat the success she had with the album Future Nostalgia . This “downfall” caused the singer to not have any nominations at the 2025 Grammys . Similarly, Katy Perry and the album 143 received negative reviews from experts as well as the music community. With an unsuccessful comeback, Katy Perry officially went home empty-handed at the 67th Grammys .
