Kansas City Chiefs superstars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were the victims of burglaries in Kansas City last month.
The Kansas City homes of both Mahomes and Kelce were burglarized in early October, according to police reports via ESPN.
According to the Cass County, Missouri, Sheriff’s office, shortly after midnight on Oct. 6, a break-in occurred at Mahomes’ residence. There’s an ongoing investigation, so no further details were provided.
The very next day, on Oct. 7, Kelce’s home was burglarized, and the losses totaled $21,000, including $20,000 in cash, according to the Leawood, Kansas, police department.
Mahomes told reporters on Wednesday that his house was, in fact, burglarized, but declined to get into specifics as the investigation is ongoing.

“Obviously it’s frustrating, it’s disappointing, but I mean I can’t get into too many of the details because the investigation’s still ongoing, but obviously something that you don’t want to happen to really anybody but obviously yourself,” Mahomes said.
Mahomes was asked if he or his family were at home during the break-in.
“I can’t speak too much about the details of everything just with the investigation going on,” Mahomes said, “but I’m sure at some point that will be talked about.”
No injuries were reported in either case The Chiefs beat the New Orleans Saints in Kansas City on Oct. 7 by a score of 26-13.
The Chiefs are in the midst of another dominant season and are a perfect 9-0 through the first 10 weeks of the year. Mahomes has completed 69.5 percent of his passes for 2,208 yards with 12 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Kelce has been the team’s leading receiver, catching 60 passes for 499 yards and two touchdowns.
The Chiefs have won the last two Super Bowls, and are looking to become the first team in history to win three consecutive Super Bowls. They’re also looking to become just the fifth team in NFL history to have an undefeated and untied season, joining the 2007 New England Patriots, 1972 Miami Dolphins, and 1942 and 1934 Chicago Bears. The Dolphins are the only team in NFL history to complete an entire season undefeated.
The Chiefs’ quest for perfection continues this Sunday with a huge matchup against the 8-2 Buffalo Bills. Then, they play the Carolina Panthers, Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Chargers, Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Denver Broncos to close out the regular season.
